The governing bodies have come with intricate laws to punish those who commit crimes. The common forms of punishment handed out to criminals are a long/short jail term or death sentences. Being a felon is entirely dependent upon the statements handed out by the court of law. The act of committing a crime is termed as felony. The niche is quite diverse as well as extensive and can comprise of people getting arrested for murder, armed robbery or possession of certain items with the intention of distribution. Lawyers tend to concentrate upon one or two aspects of the domain and specialize in it to serve the clients properly. A lot of people do not know the difference in between felony and a misdemeanor. It is interesting to note that England has abolished the term misdemeanor.
